    Can I drive at night?

    A: Yes, However curfew laws are in effect if you have your provisional license and are under 18 years of age.

    Q: Permit Age
    How old do you have to be to receive your permit?

    A: Students must be at least 15 years old to take the permit knowledge test at a Drivers Exam station in MN to receive their permit.

    Also note, you will receive your paper permit at the exam station the same day that you pass your permit test. The Paper permit is only valid for 45 days. You should be receiving the plastic permit in the mail within 2-3 weeks from the date that you took your test.
